Gavin Mah is a corporate and securities partner with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions and commercial contracts.
On the mergers and acquisitions side, Gavin has advised public and private Canadian and international companies on acquisitions and sales of business ranging in value from less than one million dollars to upwards of $300 million. Gavin enjoys being a trusted business advisor to these companies and the people behind them to ensure the company’s success leading into the transactions and after the transactions close. Gavin’s approach is business focused to ensure transactions are closed timely and efficiently, while ensuring clients receive the best deal possible.
With respect to capital markets, Gavin advises the startup companies, growth-stage companies and established public issuers on various capital markets matters, including equity and debt financings, initial public offerings, direct listings and reverse takeovers. Gavin focuses primarily on technology, life sciences, and mining royalty and mining companies. Gavin also provides ongoing advice to public and private companies regarding corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, and various other corporate and securities law compliance matters.
Gavin has helped both local businesses and complex international businesses at all stages of development with various corporate and commercial matters ranging from founders' and shareholders' agreements, manufacturing and distribution contracts, master service agreements, SaaS agreements, consignment agreements and precious metals streaming agreements.
