Jason T. Sutherland* was educated at the University of Victoria, where he received his B.Comm in 1997, and at the University of British Columbia, where he received his LL.B. in 2002. Jason was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2003.
Jason practices in the areas of securities, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and corporate & commercial law. He advises private and public companies and individuals in various matters, including cross border financings, public offerings, private placements, venture capital financing, shareholders/proxy disputes, acquisitions and dispositions of shares and assets, joint ventures and continuous disclosure. Jason also advises mineral exploration companies on option and joint venture agreements. Jason represents clients in a wide variety of industries, including natural resources, alternative energy, life sciences and technology.
Jason has lectured for the Law Society of British Columbia Professional Legal Training Course.
