Bruce* practises in the areas of securities, corporate and mining law and has represented clients ranging from initial start-ups to companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He has been involved in a wide range of transactions, including prospectus offerings and private placement financings, mergers, reverse takeovers, and asset acquisitions. Most of these transactions were for public companies or private companies that became public on completion of the transaction. Bruce has also advised many mineral exploration companies on option and joint venture agreements and property purchase and sale transactions. In addition to these larger transactions, Bruce has worked on private company structuring and financings, partnership offerings and mutual funds.
Bruce acts for or has acted for clients operating businesses in the areas of mining, biotechnology, consumer goods, computer software\hardware, venture capital corporations and mutual funds.
Bruce served as a member of the British Columbia Securities Commission Securities Law Advisory Committee from 2004-2007.
Bruce received his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1992 and, prior to that, received a B.A. (hons) in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1987.
